This client was seeking to build an authoritative website on distance education issues and technology, and came to Catalyst for ongoing content strategy. They needed a strategy with crossover appeal to the many demographics who fall under the category of “nontraditional college student”—including adult students, single parents, military students and their families, and home-schooled high school students considering online colleges and high schools, as well as their parents.
I developed a content strategy that appealed to this diverse audience as well as to search engines. My blog posts from the site have gained large amounts of traffic from popular social media sites and have inspired discussion and links on other authoritative sites.
In addition to the article library, I gave the site a copy overhaul that makes navigation clear and concise, and promotes sales of their considerable catalog of online classes.
